Hola Bombon’s executive chef is making use of delicacies such as Artysan Serrano Ham and Vega Mancha Semicurado for this weekend’s pairing class.
On Saturday, a virtual tasting will take place that will pair sangria with a tapas platter prepared by Hola Bombom executive chef Ruther Sandico. Called Sangria y Tapas Fiesta, the zoom event is a partnership between the The Tasting Club with the restaurant along with The Tasteful Selections, Happy Living, and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
The main meats in the tapas as well as the Goya classic olive oil were curated by The Tasteful Selections. Meanwhile, Happy Living is providing Lolea N.1 Red Sangria Frizzante and Lolea N.2 White Sangria Frizzante to go along with the small plates:
Pan Con Tomate y Jamón
Artysan Prosciutto, Tomato, Goya Classic Olive Oil, Maldon Sea Salt
Pintxo de Chorizo
Artysan Chorizo, Ensaladilla, Black Olive Powder
Goya Manzanilla Cocktail Olives, Spanish Anchovy, Piparras, Goya Classic Olive Oil
Vega Mancha Manchego Semi Curado and Curado, Tostadas, Mango Jam
Artysan Charcuteria export manager Charo Taberna, Vega Mancha Manchego export director Mercedes Esparcia, and Goya Olive Oil brand ambassador Joey Downs will explain the craft behind the artisanal Spanish products featured in the tasting. Sandico will also be on hand to share about the Tapas preparation and give tips to replicate the dishes at home.
Lolea Sangria global brand ambassador Ruben Canabal will also pop in to enlighten guests about the red and white sangria frizzante. He will also share and demonstrate how to enhance our own Sangria tasting experience by adding fresh garnishes such as strawberries, basil, lime, oranges, and mint.
